The Swiss watch brand Hamilton is presenting an unusual move for the watchmaking industry: A collaboration with the iconic video game Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 in a limited edition. The connection between mechanical luxury watches and the gaming world may sound unintuitive, but the company emphasizes that the two worlds share a clear common denominator — precision, durability, and a continuous pursuit of technological excellence.
The new model, the Khaki Field Automatic Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Special Edition, was not only designed inspired by the game but also appears in it on the wrist of one of the main characters. In doing so, Hamilton is attempting to continue the trend of blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination, and to expand its activity into additional popular culture fields beyond cinema, fashion, and design.
The watch features a meticulous tactical–military design with a 38 mm black steel case, a reinforced fabric strap, and an automatic movement water-resistant up to 100 meters. On the back of the watch appears a unique engraving inspired by Black Ops, and the packaging was also designed as a type of operational equipment item. Gaming and collecting communities around the world have already shown great interest in the edition, with some even describing it as a step that could bring a younger generation closer to the world of mechanical watches. Alongside the enthusiasm, there are also those who claim that this is an overly unusual connection, but it seems the move has already created a wide echo beyond the brand’s traditional audiences.
Hamilton, founded in 1892 in Pennsylvania, has established itself over the years as a brand that bridges different worlds. It began its journey as the official watch of the U.S. railroads, became synonymous with military precision, and served the U.S. Army during World War II. It later moved to Switzerland and joined the Swatch Group, while maintaining its American character alongside Swiss manufacturing standards. More than 500 cinematic appearances have made the brand one of the most recognizable in the entertainment world, and the collaboration with Call of Duty continues this line.
The new edition will include only 5,000 units worldwide, of which a limited number will reach Israel. The price of the watch will be NIS 4,130, with the global launch having taken place on November 14. In Israel it is expected to arrive during December, and can be preordered on the website and in Impress chain stores.
For collectors and brand enthusiasts, this is an item that combines precision, design, and a cultural story — one that may become one of Hamilton’s most sought-after models in the coming years.
