Ethiopian Airlines continues to expand its operations in Israel, offering Israeli travelers convenient access to more than 150 destinations worldwide through its main hub in Addis Ababa.

The airline operates regular flights from Tel Aviv to the Ethiopian capital, which serves as a hub with short connection times and infrastructure that enables a smooth onward journey to destinations in Africa, Asia, South America, and even selected locations in Europe.

Among the popular onward destinations reachable via Addis Ababa are Zanzibar, Cape Town, Seychelles, Nairobi, Kilimanjaro, Bangkok, Delhi, Mumbai, São Paulo, and Buenos Aires. Some of these destinations offer an attractive alternative to more well-known and expensive locations, especially during peak seasons.

According to Ilan Bar Moshe, Vice President of the Tal Aviation Group, which represents Ethiopian Airlines in Israel, the airline’s main advantage lies in the combination of an extensive network of destinations, efficient connection times, and competitive prices. He notes that during periods of high demand for destinations in Europe and the Far East, many travelers look for alternative solutions.

“Less Crowded and More Affordable”

“More and more travelers today are looking for smart alternatives—desirable destinations with less crowding and at a more affordable price, and Ethiopian Airlines provides exactly that,” he said. The airline’s fleet is considered one of the youngest and most advanced in the world and includes, among others, Dreamliner and Airbus A350 aircraft, contributing to a comfortable flight experience even on long-haul journeys.
