Crackers, Ritz
One of the most iconic brands of the United States — and that’s quite a title in a country full of icons and brands — is finally arriving in Israel in an orderly manner, on the wings of Diplomat.
RITZ crackers were born almost a hundred years ago, as part of the consumer effort to feed Americans during the Great Depression. Those difficult economic years influenced both the design and the name, which was meant to provide customers with “a bite of the good life,” and in the time that has passed since then, the packaging and its contents have been integrated into countless worlds of content and culture (including, incidentally, a rather hilarious guest appearance in the charming “I Love LA,” just recently).
The crackers themselves are marketed in the familiar red-and-blue box (200 grams) and call out to you from inside to snack, dip, pile on cheese, and go wild. They highlight oven baking, avoid preservatives and food coloring, and deliver an experience that is both crunchy and melt-in-the-mouth at the same time — exactly as intended back then.
