Pizza Hut will soon expand its operations in Israel to the country’s main entry and exit gateway: Ben Gurion Airport. The chain won a tender to operate food complexes at the airport, under which it will open two new branches - one in the “Shehakim” complex, before security screening, and the other inside the duty-free area.

The branch in the Shehakim complex will be open to the general public, including companions, employees, and travelers who have not yet passed security, while the duty-free branch will serve passengers after security on their way to departing flights. Both branches will offer the chain’s familiar menu, along with airport-specific adaptations, including smaller portion sizes and products designed for easy in-flight consumption.

Entering Ben Gurion Airport represents another strategic move for Pizza Hut Israel, placing it alongside international food brands operating in major airports worldwide. The chain already has a presence in large airports in the United States and Central America, including Washington Dulles, Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, Orlando, and Guatemala City.

According to Idit Bachar, CEO of Pizza Hut Israel, winning the tender reflects the chain’s continued growth in the local market and its desire to be present in one of Israel’s busiest and most significant hubs. She added that the airport operations will allow the chain to offer travelers a familiar and accessible dining experience even in the midst of travel.
