Summary of Events Over the Last Week:
CAM deeply mourns the tragic loss of U.S. activist and media personality Charlie Kirk, who was senselessly murdered on Wednesday during a speaking event at Utah Valley University.
Our deepest condolences go out to Kirk’s wife, two young children, and all who are grieving. Political violence has no place in America, and the horrific assassination of Kirk underscores the growing threat of unchecked hatred and extremism.
Remembering 9/11
Today, we remember the attacks of September 11, 2001, which claimed nearly 3,000 innocent lives in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C.
24 years later, the dangers of radical Islamist terror have still not passed, as seen this week in Jerusalem, where six Israelis were gunned down by Palestinian terrorists at a busy bus stop in an attack Hamas claimed responsibility for.
Antisemitism on Rise in UK
The Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM recorded 31 incidents in the United Kingdom this week, a 34.8 percent jump from last week. These included the vandalization of multiple Jewish sites, including synagogues and schools, in London’s Golders Green neighborhood.
Other incidents documented by the ARC around the world this week included:
- Czechia: Vandals spray-painted the words "Fascists" and "Holocaust 2025" on a Jewish-owned shop in Prague’s Vinohrady district.
- France: A 17-year-old ISIS sympathizer was arrested for conspiring to attack the British, American, and Israeli embassies, among other targets.
- Canada: A man pelted a Jewish community center in Toronto's Yorkville neighborhood with eggs.
