Data on Antisemitic Incidents:

The latest Global Antisemitism Report highlights 112 new incidents of antisemitism monitored worldwide by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM during the past week.

Categorized by ideological motivation, 42% were Far-Left (47 incidents), 12.5% Islamist-Inspired (14 incidents), 5.4% Far-Right (6incidents), and 40.2% Unattributable (45 incidents).

Broken down by type, 64.3% were Anti-Israel/Anti-Zionism (72 incidents), 16.1% Classical Antisemitism (18 Incidents), 8.9% Holocaust Denial/Distortion/Minimization (10 incidents), 3.6% Islamist-Inspired (4 incidents), and 7.1% Unattributable (8 incidents).

Legislation supported by CAM advanced in two states, Missouri and Wisconsin, this week, marking key progress in a nationwide effort to pass and enact policy remedies addressing rising antisemitism across America.

The Missouri House of Representatives voted on Monday in favor of HB 2061, a measure to integrate the IHRA antisemitism definition into student, faculty, and employee codes of conduct, and facilitate enforcement of Title VI.

Two days later, the Wisconsin State Assembly approved AB 446, a proposal to adopt the IHRA definition into state statute and use it to evaluate discriminatory intent and enhanced criminal penalties.

Blood libel in Turkey, elderly Jews harassed at Spain museum

Incidents documented by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM across the globe this week included:

  • Turkey: A public display in Antalya depicted prominent Israeli and international figures consuming organs of Palestinian children.
  • Andorra: At a Carnestoltes celebration, a mob hung, shot, and burned an effigy adorned with an Israeli flag.
  • Spain: Three elderly Israeli women, including a Holocaust survivor, were harassed and forced to leave the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía.
  • France: The iconic Marseille city sign was defaced with the colors of the Palestinian flag and tagged "Free Palestine."
  • Belgium: CAM joined U.S. Ambassador to Belgium Bill White in condemning the arrests of three Jewish mohels in Antwerp over circumcision restrictions.
  • Thailand: A group of Israeli tourists were assaulted at a bar in Koh Sumai after they were heard speaking Hebrew.
  • United States: "Free Palestine" stickers were placed on 140 suitcases of passengers of a Los Angeles-Tel Aviv El Al flight.
