A group of two dozen lawmakers from 14 Latin American nations signed a CAM-organized joint statement denouncing left-wing Colombian President Gustav Petro for tweeting “Heil Hitler” in response to an op-ed endorsing a right-wing political opponent.

“This is not an isolated rhetorical excess, but a sustained pattern that reflects a troubling record of antisemitic expressions and conduct [by Petro],” CAM Executive Director of Latin American Affairs Shay Salamon said.

Petro, whose term in office ends in August, severed ties with Israel last year, after accusing it of committing a “genocide” in Gaza.

DoorDash Deactivates Driver Over Staged Refusal to Deliver to Home With Israeli Flag

A DoorDash driver in Michigan filmed herself refusing to deliver food to a home displaying an Israeli flag. After CAM drew attention to the footage on social media, DoorDash responded, “Discrimination of any kind has no place in our community, and we deactivated this Dasher's account for violating our community guidelines. Based on our investigation, this was staged, and no customer order was involved.”

Other incidents tracked by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM worldwide this week included:

  • Canada: A vandal smashed a window at Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom and tried to start a fire, marking the second attack on the prominent Montreal synagogue in the past year and a half.
  • United States: A group of Jewish men were accosted on a street in New Haven, Connecticut, by an assailant shouting, “Go back where you belong, baby killers.”
  • United Kingdom: Two Jewish guests found identical “Free Palestine” messages displayed on televisions in separate rooms at a Travelodge in London.

Of the 126 antisemitic incidents monitored by the ARC this week that were attributable to a specific ideology:

  • 66 (52.4%) were Far-Left, 39 (31%) Islamist-Inspired, and 21 (16.7%) Far-Right.

The ARC documented two foiled plots to commit violence against Jews this week, both linked to Islamist terror groups. A suspected Hamas operative was arrested in Greece for scouting Israeli tourist targets and an ISIS-inspired man was detained in New Jersey and charged with planning to attack a synagogue.

At National Sheriffs' Association Forum, CAM Calls for Collaboration in Antisemitism Fight

Addressing the opening general session of the 2026 National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) Annual Conference in Omaha, Nebraska, CAM President of U.S. Affairs Alyza Lewin warned of a rise in real-world violent threats facing Jewish Americans and the proliferation of antisemitism online. “We look forward to helping you protect not only your Jewish community members, but all Americans from the hate that is threatening our country’s well-being,” she said.
