The Health Ministry issued an urgent recall of Sterlin brand smoked Salmon on Friday after the presence of Listeria was detected on the fish.
The contamination has impacted only smoked salmon in the 100 gram package with the barcode 7290008340618, manufactured by Villiger Industries Ltd., which was manufactured on 10/23/25.
Listeria monocytogenes bacteria may cause illness in high-risk populations, such as those with weakened immune systems and the elderly, and cause miscarriages in pregnant women.
In coordination with the Health Ministry, the company announced that it is stopping the marketing of the product and collecting it from stores and distribution channels.
Those who have purchased the contaminated fish can contact the company's customer service by phone at 1-800-50-40-50 or by e-mail at customers@em-neto.co.il
