Pakistan's new PM gets vote of confidence in parliament

Pakistan's new prime minister has won the unanimous backing of parliament, including the allies of its US-backed president.
The legislature passed a motion expressing confidence in Yousaf Raza Gilani on Saturday without holding a vote after opposition parties pledged their support.
Lawmakers elected Gilani, a loyalist of assassinated former leader Benazir Bhutto, as prime minister earlier this week.
Gilani fronts a coalition that has pledged to cut President Pervez Musharraf's powers and review his counter-terrorism policies.
