A military plane crashed during training on Monday, killing the pilot, the government-run Anatolia news agency reported.
The plane crashed in a field near the city of Manisa, in western Turkey, shortly after take off from a military airfield in the nearby Aegean port city of Izmir, the agency reported.
Witnesses saw the plane spiraling in mid-air for three minutes before the crash, it said.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
