Two Islamic militants arrested in New Delhi

Indian police arrested two suspected Islamic militants on Sunday, nabbing the duo about a kilometer (about a mile) from the site of New Delhi's main public New Year's Eve celebrations, a news agency reported. The suspected militants were picked up near the New Delhi Railway Station, the Press Trust of India reported, citing senior police official Karnal Singh. The station is about a kilometer (mile) from Connaught Circus, the central point of the city's New Year's Eve celebrations. Singh said the two men, who were not identified, were carrying explosive devices and are believed to be members of Lashkar-e-Tayyabba.
