US-led coalition and Afghan troops clashed with suspected Taliban fighters and called in airstrikes, killing two militants and detaining nine others, a coalition statement said Wednesday.
Militants twice attacked the troops in the Khas Uruzgan district of Uruzgan province Tuesday, and retreated into a compound that was later bombed by coalition aircraft, the statement said.
