Young siblings treated by IDF in Haiti

A seven-year-old boy and his 12-year-old sister who were pulled fromtheir collapsed home in Haiti were released from an IDF field hospitalon Wednesday.

As the boy was pulled from the rubble he stretched his arms out high into the air and rescuers erupted in cheer.

The two were rescued by American teams.

Regarding their remarkable survival while being trapped for solong under debris, an Israeli army doctor interviewed by Sky News said,"Maybe it's a miracle, someone upstairs loves them very much."

The same network reported overnight Wednesday that a 8-year-old was pulled from the rubble of a house.

Also on Wednesday Israeli medical teams on the island treated aLebanese citizen who was injured during the 6.1 earthquake thatoccurred earlier in the day.

Via its twitter account, the IDF released statistics on thepeople it has succeeded in assisting. The military reported that 383people were treated in the IDF field hospital, among them dozens ofchildren. 140 life saving operations were executed and seven babieswere delivered.

At present time, approximately 60 patients are being treated in different parts of the hospital.
