Like you've never seen him: IDF Chief-of-Staff Gadi Eisenkot in pictures

On Sunday, the IDF will hold a farewell event for outgoing IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot. 
On Tuesday, he will hang up his uniform after 40 years of service.
While Eisenkot has long been in the public eye, he remains something of an enigma. Short, burly and quiet, Eisenkot is far different than some of his predecessors. He shied away from the media and spoke in public only when necessary. Even then, his remarks often seemed forced.
But in honor of his farewell, the IDF released a series of photos that show the outgoing chief-of-staff in ways the public rarely, if ever, had the opportunity to see him before.
