Jordan said "Israeli settlers" attacked a Gaza-bound aid convoy on Wednesday in the second such incident in days, accusing Israel of failing to act firmly to prevent repeated assaults.

The convoy, carrying 30 trucks of humanitarian aid, was delayed in its arrival in a violation of signed agreements, government spokesman Mohammad al-Momani told Reuters.

"This requires a serious Israeli intervention and no leniency in dealing with those who obstruct these convoys," Momani said.

Activists reportedly slashed the tires of two humanitarian aid trucks leaving Jordan for Gaza at the Allenby Bridge
on Sunday night, Israeli media reported.

The trucks were forced to turn back and return to Jordan.

Separately, Tzav 9 activists, including friends of Gaza hostage Rom Braslavski, blocked aid from entering the Gaza Strip earlier this week.

One of the activists, who, like Braslavski, served as a security officer at the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023, referred to the footage of Braslavski published by Palestinian Islamic Jihad over the weekend.

"Rom should have been back with me in the car after the party; he's starving in captivity while food aid is being transferred," he said.
