A shooting occurred at the Yad Mordechai intersection in the Gaza border communities, Israel Police stated on Tuesday night.
The shooting was deemed to be criminally motivated, Sdot Negev regional council later announced.
The council also noted that there have been no changes to the area's security guidelines.

No injuries were reported, though according to Army Radio, the victim's car was significantly damaged.
Security checkpoints were set up throughout the area amid the search for the shooter.
Israel Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
