The Prime Minister’s Office has requested the IDF set up speakers at various points across Gaza in order to broadcast Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s United Nations General Assembly speech on Friday.

According to KAN, the operation will be called 'The Scream.'

The PMO stated that it instructed civilian authorities, in cooperation with the IDF, to place loudspeakers on trucks only on the Israeli side of the border, with explicit instructions from Netanyahu that placing the loudspeakers must not endanger IDF soldiers.

"Instead of speaking to the Gazans, I wish to speak to those who are yearning for a voice of hope – the hostages and the soldiers," Lishay Lavi-Miran, wife of hostage Omri Miran, wrote on X/Twitter.

Netanyahu to deploy visual aids in speech

Netanyahu is expected to deploy visual aids during his address, aiming to pull global attention back to the October 7 massacre amid a new wave of recognitions of a Palestinian state and fast-moving US-Israel diplomacy.

On Friday, Netanyahu is scheduled to speak at the UN General Assembly in the morning. He is also expected to meet US social-media influencers, hold conversations with senior editors and newsroom leaders, and attend a Kabbalat Shabbat with his delegation.

On Sunday, he is slated to meet Jewish community leaders at a JNS News event, with a possible additional meeting with members of World Likud.

On Monday, Netanyahu is due to depart New York around 8 a.m. local time for Washington and meet Trump at the White House at 11 a.m. A separate meeting that aides hoped to arrange is expected to be postponed to a later opportunity.

Additionally, a letter obtained exclusively by Walla (of The Jerusalem Post Group) showed the Palestinian mission at the UN urging a coordinated “walkout” during the speech.

The stated aim was to “send a clear message to Netanyahu and his government that no one is prepared to be complicit in genocide, war crimes, and the illegal occupation,” and to ensure the protest is captured on camera for a global audience.
