Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a message to the people of Iran in a post on X on Tuesday, implying that the conditions for a revolution against the regime would soon be met and that the Iranian people would then have the opportunity to pursue regime change.

"Your dreams will become a reality," Netanyahu said. "When the time is right, and that time is fast approaching, we will pass the torch to you. Be ready to seize the moment!"

The Prime Minister's statement comes amid US skepticism about the possibility of regime change occurring in Iran despite the assassination of former supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was replaced on Monday by his son, Mojtaba Khamenei.

Senior Israeli officials had told The Jerusalem Post on March 2 that the US intended to continue Operation Epic Fury until Iran's regime falls.

“Trump intends to go all the way with this move,” one senior official told the Post. “He has already marked the target. He wants to replace the regime, and he has no intention of taking his foot off the gas.”

However, US President Donald Trump appeared to imply on Monday that the US operation could end before that happens.

"I think the war is very much complete, pretty much," Trump told CBS News. "They have no navy, no communications, they've got no air force. Their missiles are down to a scatter. Their drones are being blown up all over the place, including their manufacturing of drones."

Iranian regime still under threat

US rhetoric over the war is not completely endgame-based, however, with President Trump still actively threatening the Iranian regime with further military action, warning Tehran on Monday against stopping the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.

"If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far," Trump wrote on social media.

Regardless of continued US participation, some experts in Iran believe that regime collapse may be inevitable given the degree of Iranian military and political losses thus far in the war.

An expert in Tehran familiar with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)'s operations told The Media Line on Sunday that the IRGC appears to be steadily losing its grip on the situation inside the country and its ability to manage wartime conditions.

Meanwhile, Israeli and US strikes continue to hammer the Islamic regime, with Israeli officials confirming to the Post on Saturday that the IRGC's Quds Force headquarters had been destroyed in an airstrike.
