Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will address the public at 8 p.m. on  Sunday as his coalition potentially hangs by a thread, after a meeting with Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon ended without a conclusion. Watch the speech live below:
Sources close to Netanyahu said Sunday evening that he will appoint a foreign minister in the coming days, as he is likely to keep the defense minister post for himself.
Education Minister Naftali Bennett's party, Bayit Yehudi, said in response that it did not object to Netanyahu's decision to appoint a foreign minister - expected to be from within Likud  - but was still demanding that he give Bennett the defense portfolio.
Netanyahu's coalition was brought to the brink of collapse last week when Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman resigned in protest of an internationally-mediated ceasefire with Hamas after nearly 500 rockets were fired at Israel's south from the coastal enclave, the most-ever fired at Israel in one flareup.
