Israel Police and Border Police officers arrested a hit squad of assassins in the Triangle of Arab-Israeli communities in northern Israel, police confirmed on Tuesday.

Police arrested five suspected assassins along with weapons, drugs, and cash, in locations including Kalansuwa and Jaljulya.

The weapons included stolen IDF ammunition, parts of explosive devices, and tens of thousands of shekels in cash, police noted.

Police seize improvised submachine gun in Shfaram

Additionally, officers from the Counterterrorism Unit discovered an improvised machine gun in the yard of a house in Shfaram, police confirmed on Tuesday.

The operation took place last month, when Counterterrorism Unit officers searched the residence and found a loaded handgun and drugs. When searching the yard, they found additional drugs and an improvised submachine gun.

Police arrested a 26-year-old suspect who resided in the area, and an indictment was filed against him on Tuesday, police confirmed.

Suspected Jewish arson in Arab West Bank community, ten arrested in Samaria in unrelated operation

Further, police arrested three Jewish residents in the Gush Etzion area of the West Bank who are suspected of committing violence and arson.

The local police unit has been investigating a case of violence and arson of homes and vehicles in Jab'a village, which resulted in heavy damage, but no casualties, police noted.

Police officers called to one of the scenes of a suspected arson were able to gather evidence, leading to the arrest of three teens, residents of the Jewish towns of Ma'alot and Kiryat Arba, who were transferred for questioning.

Ten people were arrested on Tuesday morning in the Samaria region of the West Bank, including one Palestinian suspected of terrorist activity, according to district police.

In addition, 26 vehicles in the area were impounded, and dozens of traffic tickets were distributed.

Drugs worth NIS 250k. seized in southern Israel

Police carried out a raid against narcotics smugglers in southern Israel, near Arad, seizing 48kg of hashish, worth approximately NIS 250,000.

Additionally, a serious incitement was filed against two members of a local Bedouin tribe, one in their 20s and another in their 30s, for possession of narcotics not for personal consumption.

The tribe members were identified by IDF Observers who noted them moving around the area carrying backpacks, triggering the suspicion of the soldiers, who then acted to thwart the suspects, locating the drugs during a search of the backpacks.

In a separate investigation, Jerusalem District Police officers and National Insurance Institute investigators arrested eight suspects who forged medical documents to defraud the health system in order to obtain and sell narcotics.

Information received by the National Insurance Institute's investigators led to suspicions of dozens of east Jerusalem residents forging medical documents from various Jerusalem hospitals.

Meanwhile, Tel Aviv District Police arrested a protester, believed to be in her 60s, who is suspected of pouring red paint into a fountain on Allenby Street on Tuesday morning, causing damage to the installation.

The suspect, a Tel Aviv resident, was taken to a local police station for questioning.

Furthermore, police officers opened an investigation into suspected arson and damage to an engineering vehicle parked near construction work for a light rail route on Bar Ilan Street in Jerusalem. The vehicle was empty at the time of the incident, and police investigators are making extensive efforts to identify the suspect.
