A Tel Aviv University student and IDF soldier who had been wounded in Gaza found a swastika drawn on his car, KAN News reported on Thursday.

The student, Amir Dolman, had been severely wounded in Rafah during the 2023-2025 Israel-Hamas war and had returned to study at Tel Aviv University. On Wednesday, he found a swastika drawn on the rear window and a group of people waiting next to it.

The people had their hands in the air and called out "don't shoot," apparently in protest of Dolman's military service, KAN reported.

"It's crazy," Dolman told KAN. "It's like you come back from the war, give everything you can for the country, your body and your soul, and everything, and you get spit in the face."

Student council, university faculty condemn incident

The student council condemned the incident, saying, "We will not tolerate any harm to any student based on their group affiliation, especially when the group affiliation is security forces, to whom we owe a moral-ethical debt, including our studies at the university without the sirens and missiles."

The dean of the faculty of law, which Dolman is studying, also expressed his shock at the incident, met with Dolman, and conveyed his full support.

"The university's security unit conducted a quick investigation using security cameras, which revealed that this was not a student or university employee, but a person who does not belong to the campus community," the university announced. "Early this week, the security unit will complete the investigation, and the appropriate steps will be taken."
