National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir defended the Prison Service’s treatment of Tsarafi in a statement responding to the public defender’s criticism.

The 24-year-old Palestinian entered Israel illegally and allegedly killed a cyclist while riding a stolen vehicle in Tel Aviv, the Israel Police announced.

Initial reports from the scene show that a tear gas grenade was thrown at the house, the National Fire and Rescue spokesperson said.

Alexander Granovsky admitted to setting nine vehicles on fire and sending his handler footage of sensitive locations. Prosecutors say the sentence is the harshest yet in this series of cases.

“You have ended your career,” he allegedly wrote in one message. “I am going to be cruel at a level you never imagined.”

The wounded man was evacuated in serious condition to Wolfson Medical Center, where medical teams were forced to pronounce his death.

The court also ordered Mukin to pay NIS 258,000 to Omari’s estate, disqualified him from holding a driver’s license for three years, and confiscated the Glock pistol used in the shooting.

Among the illegal weapons and ammunition seized were several which are suspected to have been stolen from the IDF, the police stated.

After hearing both sides on Monday, the three-justice panel urged the family to withdraw its petition. The family declined and requested a reasoned judgment.

The indictment, filed in Jerusalem District Court, sets out the state’s account of two incidents in May and June involving Prinok fruit and vegetable puree sold at two Zol Begadol branches.
