Rabin Medical Center
The Rabin Medical Center held its Beilinson Fellows event at the Beit Ran Shmueli West Complex at Kibbutz Gaash. The event was dedicated to fundraising for the eye development center at Beilinson Hospital. Leading the evening were: Pinchas (Pini) Cohen, chairman of the Noy Fund, the America Israel Foundation, and the Friends of the Rabin Medical Center; Orly Meskin, director-general of the Association; Dr. Eytan Wirtheim, incoming director of the Rabin Medical Center (Beilinson and Sharon Hospitals), and Prof. Irit Bachar, director of the Eye Center. During the evening, the Rabin Medical Center honored Dr. Eran Halpern, the outgoing director of the Rabin Medical Center, and congratulated Wirtheim, the incoming director.
Micromosaic jewelry
Ofer and Alon Jonasoff, the owners of JB Jewelers, and Noni Malka the owner of Noni’s Gallery in Tel Aviv, hosted an especially glamorous evening to launch Sicis, a new Italian jewelry brand in Israel. This jewelry is designed with micromosaic combinations using a unique technique. This new brand complements Sicis mosaic tiles, which are well known in the industry. Joya Falcuzzi, the owner of the Sicis brand, came to Israel from Italy in order to participate in the special event.

Chiara Ferragni
Chiara Ferragni, one of the most successful bloggers in the world, with more than 16 million Instagram followers and her own line of shoes, landed in the HolyLand on Thursday. Ferragni was warmly received with balloons supplied by her friend, world renowned aesthetician Mimi Luzon. Ferragni, together with her fellow bloggers Veronica Ferraro and Chiara Biasi, strolled through Levinsky Market and then along the beach in Tel Aviv. Then they flew by helicopter to the Dead Sea and ate Shabbat dinner at Luzon’s house.

Canneseries
The popular new HOT drama series Nehama was shown as the opening event at the recent Cannes International Film Festival. HOT’s CEO Tal Granot-Goldstein attended the prestigious CANNESERIES Festival along with HOT’s VP of Content and Innovation Nadav Khenin, the creators of Nehama, Reshef Levi and Tomer Shani, producer Yoav Gross and the actors. Nehama was the only Israeli TV series shown at this year’s festival and it was screened in the famous Grand Theatre Lumiere hall, which seats 2,400.

Batsheva Dance
The Batsheva Dance Company held its annual gala event last weekend at BAM in New York. Many important people attended the festive evening to watch Venezuela, which was created by Ohad Naharin. Attending were: Daniel Craig, Rachel Weiss, Lev Schreiber and Sasha Schreiber, Jake Gyllenhaal, Katrina Lenk (the star of the Broadway musical The Band’s Visit), Nurit Amdor – chair of Friends of Batsheva of the United States, Natan Hevroni, Yossi Bachar, Uri Levin, Robert Weil, Michael Baryshnikov and his wife Lisa, ballet dancers Wendy Weilen and Sarah Mirrens, the company’s CEO Dina Eldor and many other business leaders.
