There are currently four IDF divisions operating inside the Gaza Strip, the IDF announced on Sunday.
In Jabalia, troops fought and killed fighters, including via airstrikes, destroyed terrorist infrastructure, weapons, underground facilities and apartments that Hamas fighters had been using, said the military.
In Khan Yunis, troops carried out operations to destroy terrorist infrastructure and engaged in direct combat with fighters along the way. The IDF added that efforts are being made to locate the underground tunnel networks and to eventually destroy them once they are cleared out.
IDF operations in northern Gaza
In northern Gaza, several fighters were killed when they began to move towards Israeli troops. Others were killed when they were located moving equipment into a building.
In Rafah in southern Gaza, troops expanded operations into the Janina neighborhood, and struck terrorist infrastructure there, said the IDF.
On Israel's eastern border with Jordan, the IDF ramped up foot soldiers by about three times what was there beforehand, the military said on Monday.
Reinforcements were made on the Egyptian border as well.
