The IDF identified a terrorist who crossed the Yellow Line in the central Gaza Strip on Monday, the military confirmed.

The terrorist was approaching soldiers, posing "an immediate threat" to those operating in the area, the military said.

Israel Air Force soldiers killed the terrorist, the military added.

An Israeli soldier was moderately wounded when he was hit by shrapnel from a tank shell during operational activity in the northern Gaza Strip, the military said earlier on Monday.

The soldier was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The IDF earlier said that in northern Gaza, troops killed two suspected terrorists who crossed the Yellow Line into IDF-controlled Gaza territory in two separate incidents.

The IDF killed three suspects who crossed the IDF-controlled Yellow Line zone in the southern Gaza Strip on Saturday, it announced.

In the first incident, two suspects crossed who were said to have been carrying out suspicious activities on the ground, the IDF said. The two men were approaching the soldiers before they were shot dead.

In the second incident, a terrorist was killed after he crossed the Yellow Line to approach soldiers.

A Hamas terrorist crossed Gaza's Yellow Line and surrendered to IDF soldiers on Saturday, a US official told CBS News.

The report did not specify where the incident occurred along the ceasefire line.

The terrorist told the IDF that Hamas recently recruited him, but he regrets his choice to join the terror group, the official told CBS.

"Gazans know there can be no future under Hamas," the US State Department's Office Bureau of Near Eastern commented on X/Twitter.

"Gaza can be an incredible place but it must first be free of terror and terrorists," the department added.
