An IDF officer was severely injured in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, the military said, adding that the officer's family has been notified.

The officer was successfully evacuated to a hospital, where he is receiving treatment, the IDF said, noting that it is investigating the incident.

In addition, several soldiers were wounded on Tuesday when the IDF encountered a terrorist cell in Bint Jbeil, where three armed terrorists opened fire on the soldiers.

The IDF successfully returned fire and killed two terrorists. The third terrorist attempted to flee, but was also killed by a follow-up strike by the IDF.

During the incident, three IDF soldiers were severely wounded, one was moderately wounded, and six were lightly wounded.

IDF finds Hezbollah weapons in civilian home

During operations in southern Lebanon, IDF soldiers from the Nahal Brigade also located Hezbollah weapons and equipment inside a civilian home.

Among the weaponry were Kalashnikov rifles and magazines, alongside Hezbollah military vests, the military said.

IDF strikes Hezbollah sites in Aadshit area

The IDF struck Hezbollah infrastructure sites in the Aadshit area of southern Lebanon on Monday, the military announced later on Tuesday.

According to the IDF, Hezbollah has launched approximately 130 rockets from the Aadshit area toward IDF soldiers and toward the State of Israel, Kiryat Shmona in particular, since the start of Operation Roaring Lion.

Among the targets struck were weapons storage facilities, launchers, and command centers, with several terrorists eliminated in the strikes, the IDF said.
