IDF soldiers were dispatched near Beit Ummar after reports emerged of an attempted ramming attack in the area on Thursday.
IDF troops and West Bank security crossing personnel caught the suspect, who is believed to be a Bedouin citizen of Israel, near the Metzadot Yehuda crossing.
The suspect was transferred to police for further handling.

According to Ynet, he reportedly tried to attack an Israeli citizen on a farm near Beit Ummar and tried to run him over when he escaped.
Troops are also searching for suspects who reportedly tried to invade the farm.
No one was injured in the incident, the IDF said in a statement.
