Five bullet-proof ambulances donated by Sheldon and Miri Adelson were dedicated and put to use in Judea and Samaria at the end of last week.
The ambulances, which cost a total of $1 million, will be stationed in Kiryat Arba, Karnei Shomron, Efrat, Ofra and Ariel.
“It has been proven that bullet-proof ambulances have saved many lives and enabled professionals to treat patients without fear, allowing them to concentrate on their medical work and not worry about what is happening around them,” said Shlomo Vaknin, a security officer for the Judea and Samaria Council, at the dedication ceremony last week, at which the Adelsons were present.
