2 Palestinian escapees from southern prison caught

Police succeeded in catching two Palestinian prisoners who escaped from the Ketziot Prison in the South on Wednesday night. Guards discovered the ends of a rope dangling from the prison walls earlier, and the two were discovered missing after a head count. The Israeli Prisons Service and police then conducted a wide-ranging search for the fugitives. The two men, Gaza residents affiliated with Fatah, had been sentenced to three and seven years imprisonment respectively for illegal residence in Israel.
