The number of Israelis who hung flags on their homes or cars to celebrate Independence Day has dropped by 25 percent in 2007 according to a poll conducted by "There is Hope," a non-profit organization.
The poll, published by the Panorama Marketing Institute, found that only 10% of Israelis hung a flag prior to the holiday, but a large majority said that they planned to hang a flag during Independence Day.
At least 500 Israelis aged 18 and over were interviewed.
