A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the back and lightly wounded during a brawl outside of a pub in Haifa's downtown district on Friday night.
Police arrested two suspects in connection with the stabbing - a 16-year-old minor and an 18-year-old, both Haifa residents. Two additional youths were arrested for taking part in the brawl.
Earlier on Friday, a man was shot and moderately wounded on Netanya's Rehov Glikson. The man was rushed to the Laniado Hospital in Netanya. Police said the wounded man had been involved in past criminal activity.
"This appears to be a conflict between criminals. There is no connection to organized crime," police said in a statement.
On Friday evening, a 19-year-old was shot and moderately wounded in Lod. He was taken by ambulance to the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Tzrifin for treatment.
Police arrested a 24-year-old Haifa resident on Friday night on suspicion of raping a foreign volunteer who has been living on a kibbutz in the North. The woman filed a police complaint six weeks ago, and said she was raped by a man she knew as the two walked through a parking lot outside of a kibbutz night club. On Friday night, the woman saw the suspect during an outing, and contacted police.
In other crime news, a 24-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded in Umm el-Fahm on Saturday. The man was evacuated to the Haemek Hospital in Afula by paramedics, and is said to be in stable condition. Police believe the shooting to be linked to an ongoing dispute.
A 20-year-old resident of Beit She'an was arrested over the weekend for puncturing the tires of a car belonging to the family of an 18-year-old woman who had broken up with him.
On Thursday night, a 20-year-old man from Ashdod arrived at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba with light wounds after being assaulted. His condition has since deteriorated dramatically, doctors say, and he is said to be in serious condition.
In Ashdod, three Palestinians who had entered Israel illegally were arrested for mugging and assaulting two youths on Thursday night.
Police said the suspects had allegedly stolen cell phones and assaulted the local youths during the robbery. One suspect was arrested in Ashdod shortly after the incident in possession of the stolen phone, while two more suspects were arrested later in Mazkeret Batya.
In Tel Aviv, Traffic Police removed 20 vehicles from the road due to serious road safety failures, and disqualified 20 drivers who were caught driving under the influence of alcohol. Two drivers were caught driving under the influence of drugs.
Also in Tel Aviv, a taxi driver was robbed early on Friday morning by a suspect armed with what police described as "a sharp object." Hundreds of shekels were stolen in the robbery. Police arrested a 17-year-old resident of Lod who was found carrying the stolen cash.
