Ashkenazi to convene top brass for vision talk

IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi will lay out his vision for his four-year tenure as head of the military during a meeting Monday with the IDF's top brass, including all officers with the rank of colonel and above. The convention will mark a month since Ashkenazi took up his post following the resignation of Dan Halutz. The officers will gather at the IAF Hatzor Base in the north and Ashkenazi is expected to emphasize the need to implement the lessons drawn from the inquiries into the war including the increase in training for all infantry and armored units.
