Meretz chairman Yossi Beilin said Thursday following the publication of the testimonies of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Amir Peretz, and former IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz that anyone who read the transcripts had to conclude that the committee hadn't been impressed by the three's attempts to pass the buck, and had made its conclusions on the failures of the Second Lebanon War "wisely and courageously."
"Not one of the three deserves to remain in his position after the debacle, and Olmert and Peretz should follow Halutz [and resign]," Beilin said.
