Blair sees 'sense of possibility' for the Mideast

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, in his new role as Middle East peace envoy, on Tuesday said his first trip to the region is to listen and learn, but already he sees "a sense of possibility" for progress. In his first public comments since arriving Monday, Blair said he had come "to listen, learn and reflect" during two days of meetings with Israeli and Palestinian leaders. "I think there is a sense of possibility, but whether that sense of possibility can be translated into something, that is something that needs to be worked at and thought about over time," Blair said at a news conference with Israeli President Shimon Peres.
