The National Labor Court in Tel Aviv was expected to discuss on Sunday deputy ITA director Shuki Vita's request to be appointed to a Finance Ministry post overseeing state revenue.
Vita is currently under police investigation for alleged acts of fraud and breach of trust during his term as a tax assessor in the Gush Dan region, in light of which Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz instructed Finance Minister Avraham Hirchson to halt the appointment.
Eight other tax assessors are also under investigation for violating regulations and circumventing authority in dealing with ITA files.
