Ethics Committee reprimands Tartman over degree

The Knesset Ethics Committee decided on Wednesday to severely reprimand Israel Beiteinu MK Estherina Tartman over false claims that she held a Masters degree in economics. Both the Movement for Quality Government and Meretz MK Ran Cohen filed complaints with the committee over the affair. Tartman was initially nominated for the post of tourism minister due to her experience in economics. However, she turned down the position after it was publicly exposed that she had misrepresented herself on national television as holding a Masters degree she didn't have.
