The trial of former judge
Osnat Laufer-Alon was expected to begin Sunday afternoon in the Tel Aviv District Court. Laufer-Alon has been accused of computer hacking and violating privacy, as well as with harassment of a Prison Services officer.
According to allegations, Laufer-Alon hired a private investigator to secure private cell phone information in order to determine if her husband was having an illicit affair. Laufer-Alon also allegedly placed 46 phone calls to the home telephone of the Prison Services officer, suspecting that she was engaged in sexual relations with Laufer-Alon's husband.
A special three-judge judicial tribunal has been formed for Laufer-Alon's trial, headed by the chief justice of the Tel Aviv District Court.
