Gaydamak: If I was elected prime minister, I'd speak to Hamas

Billionaire Arkadi Gaydamak said Monday that if he was elected as prime minister, he would organize negotiations with Hamas. In an address to students at Tel Aviv University, Gaydamak added the status quo is not working for any of the parties involved, and that he believed there was no choice but to hold direct negotiations with the group. The businessman also spoke of the Israeli economy, saying that he believes Israel's economy is dependent on the US, and needs reform.
