IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz said Sunday at the 6th Annual Herzliya Conference that Israel could not sustain an army comprised of volunteers only.
According to Halutz, a volunteer army would be "below standard," and he said that he would do everything in his power to assure that the idea would be quashed.
