Harel: More time needed on missile defense

More time will be needed to develop a defense against Katyusha rockets and short range missiles, Maj.-Gen. Dan Harel, candidate for the position of deputy chief of General Staff, told Israel Radio on Monday. "There is no solution to this problem in any country in the world and Israel will be a pioneer in this field," said Harel. On the Arrow missile program, Harel said that although the system did not give total protection, it was useful against the threat Israel faced.
