67-year-old man shot during raid; armed Palestinian killed and another wounded during IAF air strike in Gaza.

Two Palestinians were killed in IDF action in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank on Wednesday, one of them a 67-year-old man who was shot dead during a raid in Hebron.
Also Wednesday, six mortars struck the Erez Crossing into Gaza, sparking a fire on the Palestinian side of the terminal. Two additional mortars landed near Beit Hanun. No one was injured in the attack. On Monday, close to 10 soldiers were wounded in a similar mortar attack on the crossing.
In Hebron, IDF troops shot and killed Yahia al-Jabri, a 67-year-old Palestinian, during a search of his home. His wife Fatima, 65, was seriously wounded and was taken to hospital. Jabri's two sons and another female relative were also wounded.
IDF sources said the soldiers entered the house as part of an arrest operation and were attacked by the household members, who threw objects at them and tried to seize an officer's weapon. In response, the soldiers opened fire, killing Jabri and wounding several others. The IDF officer was lightly wounded during the incident.
Earlier in the day, an armed Palestinian was killed and another wounded during an IAF air strike in the northern Gaza Strip. According to the IDF, the two were in the midst of planting a bomb when they were hit by the IAF-fired bomb. The incident came hours after two Kassam rockets landed in the western Negev.
