High Court to discuss periphery teachers' jobs

The High Court of Justice was expected to discuss on Sunday the government's decision on areas defined as "periphery," a decision which, if implemented, would cause 1,500 teachers to lose their jobs. The Education Ministry has proposed a plan to implement the change gradually, thus saving the teachers' jobs. If the court accepts the ministry's proposal, some 1,500 teachers who have already received pink slips will be able to return to work.
