IDF artillery units overnight shelled the no-go zone in the northern Gaza Strip after the army spotted a Kassam rocket fired from Dugit into the western Negev. Security forces were still searching the area where the rocket was estimated to have fallen.
There were no reports of damage.
As part of the ongoing crackdown against terror, security forces arrested overnight Wednesday 23 Palestinian fugitives in West Bank towns and villages.
In Nablus, where shots were fired several times at forces, one Fatah fugitive was arrested. In Tulkarm, soldiers arrested 12 fugitives affiliated with Hamas.
Three Fatah Tanzim fugitives were arrested in Bethlehem, where soldiers also came under fire. A Hamas fugitive and a fugitive affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine were arrested in villages outside of Bethlehem.
Four Hamas fugitives were arrested in Hebron, and another in Dahariya, southwest of Hebron.
