Voicing concern with Syria's military buildup along the border with Israel, Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. -Gen. Moshe Kaplinsky said Wednesday that he does not foresee a war with Syria this summer.
Kaplinksy said that Israel cannot ignore the preparation within the Syrian military for the possibility of war with Israel but he said that they were mostly defensive actions and that they didn't indicate readiness by Damascus to launch an attack against Israel.
