The Immigration Authority released a seven-year-old Colombian boy and his 80-year old grandmother on Thursday after holding the pair for the past four days at Ben-Gurion Airport following problems in allocating them an entry visa.
The boy's mother is a Colombian national who has been working in Israel for several years. His father, a journalist, was killed in Colombia, and the boy was brought to Israel by his grandmother to be reunited with his mother after a four-year separation.
The boy fell into his mother's arms in an emotional reunion after being released from custody.
