Israel's fortunes worsen in NZ

Poor day of racing at Neil Pryde World championship.

Israel's windsurfers had a poor day of racing at the Neil Pryde World Championships at Takapuna beach in New Zealand on Monday. Shahar Tzuberi dropped from second to sixth position overall after finishing his races in sixth and 17th place. Nimrod Mashiah held on to eighth position by ending Monday's races in 10 th and 11th, but Olympic champion Gal Fridman fell from 12th to 33rd overall after disqualifying in the first race of the day. In the women's competition, Ma'ayan Davidovitch is placed in 19th position and Lee Korzits moved up to 26th place. Davidovitch and Korzits must finish in the top-10 to qualify for the Olympic Games.
