Itai Ben-Dror, the father who allegedly murdered his three children in Netanya on Saturday is mentally fit to be incarcerated, Ramle Magistrate's court ruled Wednesday. He will soon be moved from the hospital where he is currently being held to a prison services facility.Ben-Dror, 38, was arrested for stabbing his three children - Omer, 10, Roni, 8 and Or, 5 - to death in their home. The court has still not ruled whether he is fit to stand trial for the crime.Prison services officials have stated that they plan to keep Ben-Dror under 24 hour surveillance in an isolated cell.According to reports on Israel Radio, the family of Ben-Dror's estranged wife Lilach were present at the court and attempted to confront the accused with photographs of his deceased children.According to reports, Ben-Dror would not lift his head and look at the photographs or at his former family members.Details of Ben-Dror's psychiatric evaluation will not be released, but the professional recommendation to the court was that he was fit to be imprisoned.The decision comes following Ben-Dror's defense lawyer's request that his client be psychologically evaluated to determine his mental condition.
