Livni to sign Rosenstein extradition order

Justice Minister Tzipi Livni said on Sunday she would sign the extradition order against suspected underworld figure Ze'ev Rosenstein next week unless his lawyers present her with convincing arguments against doing so. Last week, the Supreme Court rejected Rosenstein's appeal against a lower court ruling that he was extraditable to the US, where he is wanted on charges of conspiring to import and distribute 1.4 million Ecstasy pills. Livni wrote that she would only consider arguments against extraditing Rosenstein that his lawyers had not pleaded before the Supreme Court.
