A 27-year-old man was shot dead at a car wash in Jaffa in a drive-by attack on Friday evening. The car wash business was formerly owned by incarcerated underworld kingpin Ze'ev Rosenstein. Magen David Adom paramedics rushed the victim to the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, where doctors attempted to save his life on the operating table. The man succumbed to his wounds shortly afterward. Police say the man was known to them due to past illegal activities. No arrests have so far been made. In the Arab village of Jatt, situated in the Sharon District, a former school teacher was shot dead in a drive-by shooting on Friday evening. The homicide victim, 52, was struck in the upper body by gunshots, and was rushed to the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera. Paramedics say he was conscience throughout the ambulance journey, and suffered major blood loss, before succumbing to his wounds in hospital. His cousin, 60, was also wounded in the attack, and remains hospitalized in critical condition. Media reports have speculated that the shooting could be linked to a feud between the clan from which the gunshot victims hail and a local crime family, but police have not confirmed such reports. Meanwhile, in Ramle, a 23-year-old man was critically wounded when he was shot outside of his home. Police suspect a gunman and his accomplices called on the man to exit his home and then shot him, before driving away. Police erected road blocks around the city, but no suspects have been arrested. The injured youth was rushed to the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Tzrifin, where he was in critical condition.
