A 35-year-old man was shot and killed in Pardes Snir in Lod early Tuesday, while under house arrest.
Following allegations of illegal weapon possession a few days ago,  the court had ruled that rather than being imprisoned, the man could remain with relatives in Lod while his case was being investigated.

At approximately 1 a.m. Tuesday, several assailants reportedly arrived at the entrance to the house, fired a number of shots at close range, and fled. It was alleged that the man knew his attackers, and that they were there to settle a score.
Although a large number of police officers arrived at the scene shortly after the shooting, there have not yet been any arrests.

The man's family heard the shots and Magen David Adom crews evacuated him immediately to Asaf Harofeh hospital in a critical condition. Doctors later pronounced his death.
